New name and layout, and other thoughts for today

As you can see, I renamed and chose a new template for my blog. I thought the name fit, since I love broadway so much (Dancing through life is a song from Wicked)!!! :o)

  • Tonight I have solo callbacks for summer show. I am excited but nervous. Wish me luck :o)
  • Today I worked on the dirt in which I plant my seeds. I tilled the soil and picked out every single weed, rock and stick. So, I only got a 3'x4' rectangle done but hey, it's a start?!
  • Spring is definitely upon us. Though the last 4 days have been chilly today was lovely and I am incredibly grateful for the end of the cold, cold Illinois winter.
  • My Trivium Co-op only has two classes last and I am so happy. I liked the classes but the end of them means summer is coming. SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Nothing much happening here, except simple life. :o)

On Saturday

I had a great time.....though it was chilly and VERY windy....SO windy....and lots of the rides were closed. :o( But, my Dad and my friend Katarina and I stuck through it and ended up having a fabulous day. Kat had never been to Six Flags, nor on a roller coaster taller then 10 feet :oP And so I wanted to make sure I didn't push her on to fast. Well, I sort of tried at one point on the Batman roller coaster (it has 5 upside-downs, and your feet are dangling) but she got so nervous she was shaking and pale so I let her stand it out while I rode. Later, though, she went on it with me and loved loved it.

I was able to get on 17 (!!) rides, Kat did 15 (she sat out on, you know, Batman and Vertical Velocity, a yellow coaster where they launch you and you rock back and forth between two towers. More scary and FUN then it sounds believe you me!!!!) because the crowds were so light. Surprising for opening day! Yes, we almost made it to the gate for the chain drop but there was some issue with the parking booth so we were 5 minutes late *sigh*

The day passed without anything bad happening except we got stuck on Iron Wolf!! Iron Wolf is a looping, stand-up roller coaster. Yes, you heard me, stand-up. We were stuck on the lift hill for about 10 minutes according to the ride operator but it felt like a half-hour. Kat and I were NOT happy campers :oP

Oh, and American Eagle, an old and bumpy wooden roller coaster, could very well be my favorite ride of them all. We rode it FOUR times in a row!!! You see, I did the Eagle two years ago and did NOT like it so I never did it again until Saturday, when my bravery level was high :oD And I loved, loved, LOVED it!! :o)

Gah....now I want to go again!!

Ya'll, I am tired!

I am, but I'm pumped 'cause tomorrow is the day the coaster withdrawal ends. That's right folks-tomorrow I am going to my home away from home - Six Flags Great America...WOO!!

So I'm pretty darn excited, ya'll!

**********************************************************
My new crocs!!

They are comfy and pretty and blue and I just love LOVE them!

The Schukums. A.K.A. Abby and Willie.

This is what happens when you call your dog's name as they're chewing a bone. (I'm not sure why those lines appeared across the camera. Maybe a sign we need to get a new one...Dad?)
She has such BLUE eyes! No, they're usually brown, only when light shines in her eyes to they turn blue.
This one made me laugh.

And so folks, be prepared for a worthy slew of pictures tomorrow/Sunday. :o)

Have a fabulous weekend, all!!

Spring

Signs of Spring are all around. Today was beautiful so I was able to get out and take pictures of the budding trees.
The above picture shows the tree near Laura's window, which hasn't shown any sign of budding yet, but it should soon. Yes, I know the buds are blurry thanks to our cheap camera. :oP

Plus, the grass is sprouting/showing up, though it is still in patches:

P.S. Today Rachel and I got to see "Horton hears a who" half of us wanted to, the other half needed to for school. It was fun since we were the only ones, yep, the only ones in the theater so we ran up and down the aisles and made hand puppets on the screen (we're just the most mature two teenagers. Now aren't we?) Heeheehee.

It's all over....

Placing Out ended today. Was I sad? A little. But! I come bearing good news! But first, you all have to endure a slew of irrelevant pictures taken today at random. Lucky you!!

And if you're wondering about the fish....his name is Leonard!!

The good news is: this fall the older kids are doing LES MISERABLES!!! For those of you that don't know, Les Miz is my FAVORITE broadway show--and, I know alot of shows! :oP

The only issue is, I have this agonizing fear of not getting in. Sure, the odds of it are slim since heck, I've been in the theatre, devoted and focused for HALF my life--but the odds are still there and it's driving me CRAZ-AY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, well, if it's God's will, Les Miz here I come! :o)

Friends

I've had friends who have treated me bad, and some who were my saving grace.

Today I had both.

Oh, WHAT would I do without those friends, who will except me for who I am? Who will actually go UP to that person who made me cry and tell them off, even though they'd get "the hand"???

WHAT?!?!?!?!

Anyway, today was the first show! It went well, though I didn't enjoy it as much as I should've. Oh, well. Tomorrow is opening night, and, the cheering audience will make me feel better, as always.

More Eponine!

This sweet little bird...she looks SO much like Perry!! For those of you who don't know, Perry was my sister's sweet bird who died a couple years back. :o( I still miss him and a couple days ago I accidentally called Scooter (Laura's bird) Perry! So weird. Anyway, I took more photos of my pretty girl:

Say hello to the newest member of our family......

Yes, I (at last) got a bird! I'm so happy! Well, it looks pretty much like her nose is turning brown so that mean she's a female. Therefore her name is Eponine ;o)

She is a sweet bird, shy and quiet so far, but we'll see how that turns out once she gets used to her surroundings :oP She went on my finger a few times, though I needed to really press her stomach with it (gently, of course) and even then she didn't quite seem to "get it". But she is a beautiful bird! See for yourself:
Miss Ep and her plethora of toys. I'm already spoiling that bird :oP
Blurry, but it shows her colors well.

P.S. To clear up any confusion, Eponine is pronounced Ep-uh-neen. :o)

Argh

I hate this, because all day today I haven't been able to do anything because when I get upset it really really tips me off and everything reminds me of him. It sucks, because since that person decided to be mean, my entire day is wasted on being sad. Argh! I wish I could be happy, but I can't! I want to have a good day but my heart (literally) feels heavy. I hate to complain, but, I need to vent and I need to now. *sigh*

I wish you all a better day. I'm going to go hang out with sweet Abby.

Sigh, sigh sigh

You know what I hate? People who have no sense of humor. People who get mad when you joke around about something. I really do......I won't go into detail, but I'm feeling down about something my friend said last night. Usually I feel better overnight but not this time. Oh, well.

On a lighter note! I worked hard on getting my birthday party invitations out and I thought they looked nice, so I took pictures (after coloring out my address. LoL!):

I liked them. I'm excited for the party, when I can have all my friends who will kid with me.....

Anna and Jeremy are coming tomorrow!!!!!!!!! WOO!!! :oD
