Anyway, I bear the great news that I can indeed try out for Les Miz. Of which I am thrilled about and this was cherry on top of the ice cream ;o)

So what's been going on around here?

Tomorrow is sister Laura's graduation. My grandparents are coming any minute.

I just gave Eponine her first bath-she was not happy with me and I have battle scars to prove it. :oP
She keeps fluffing herself and I hope she isn't too cold. Oh well, Scooter takes baths alot and never gets too cold as to die or anything. (Well, duh)

Um so Laura has aLOT of work to do as Mama isn't helping her. So I am as a graduation gift to her.

So the bad news here is, it looks as though Les Miserables' rights do not allow....anyone. Under 15. To be in the show. I know.

I KNOW!!! NOOooOO!!!!

I've been in tears twice since I heard, which was at 8 p.m. I am so sad!

Oh well! Pollyanna will prevail! I'll see the show 5+ times. Plus also lots of other people are disappointed at not being able to be in it since the ages are 15-18 (which quite frankly sucks!)
But I hate this! Okay okay, Emma! Enough ranting.

Grandparents should be here and I am going out to wait for them!

It's been a while......

since I last updated. So, what better time for an update then...the hour of right now!!!

Ever since I found FVTC was doing Les Miserables this fall (okay, that whole linky thingy was kind of hard and I, being myself, just yelled at the computer) I have been putting myself through anxiety attacks based on me not getting in, people not doing well and the show being a disaster, etc. etc. etc. and that is not fun. I think the main point of my anxiety is the fact I did not a solo or duet in Mega-hits.

Um, so, summer is upon us....and I am off to bike-ride because me, being myself (again), could not come up with a single interesting thing happening lately. Oh, wait! I am seeing Wicked again in August..!!! YayyYYY!!!iiii!!!!

I am, but I'm pumped 'cause tomorrow is the day the coaster withdrawal ends. That's right folks-tomorrow I am going to my home away from home - Six Flags Great America...WOO!!

The good news is: this fall the older kids are doing LES MISERABLES!!! For those of you that don't know, Les Miz is my FAVORITE broadway show--and, I know alot of shows! :oP

The only issue is, I have this agonizing fear of not getting in. Sure, the odds of it are slim since heck, I've been in the theatre, devoted and focused for HALF my life--but the odds are still there and it's driving me CRAZ-AY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, well, if it's God's will, Les Miz here I come! :o)

Sigh, sigh sigh

You know what I hate? People who have no sense of humor. People who get mad when you joke around about something. I really do......I won't go into detail, but I'm feeling down about something my friend said last night. Usually I feel better overnight but not this time. Oh, well.

On a lighter note! I worked hard on getting my birthday party invitations out and I thought they looked nice, so I took pictures (after coloring out my address. LoL!):

Puppies and Parties

Yesterday and the day before I was working hard on getting my birthday party invitations made. And, the dogs got beautiful haircuts! But, Blogger is being weird so, I have no pictures. :o(

Luckily though it looks as though we're getting a few outdoor cats from the pound this year! :oD
I'm in charge of naming them (YAY!) and I was originally going to do Eponine, Cosette, Enjolras and Marius (from Les Miserables) but I think I'll keep those names where they belong--to the characters. I guess I'm not a huge fan of naming pets after others.

St. Patrick's day

Today was kind of a down-ish day, actually. I don't know what's been up with me lately....I've just been, well, I don't know. But....I'm not here to complain about teenage hormones....no, tonight's rehearsal was far more interesting....and green!! :oP

Right now......

the snow has just stopped falling. The cars whizzing by outside make a wet, comforting ffsshhiinngg sound as they pass. I am wearing my monkey PJ pants and thinking of another monkey-lover in heaven. I am taking a break from my schoolwork; a nice long one thanks to my mother's consent. Tonight I have play practice and on Wednesday I'm learning Irish dance for the show, something I've always wanted to do. I'm looking forward to summer and my birthday, and for my brother and sister coming home (or, former home) soon. And life sure is good right now......really, really good. :o)

Oh, the guilty pleasure of time-wasting surveys....:oP

Eight interesting facts about me:

1. I could not--I repeat, could NOT--live without the existence of broadway shows. Seeing them (when I have the money :oP) and listening to the music. Especially Les Miserables. Oh the MAGIC of that show!!! I've grown up with the music and STILL it gives me chills when Enjolras says, "Until the earth is FREE!!" LoL! Other shows I love are Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Mamma Mia, Hairspray, Aida, Annie, The Lion King, the list goes on and on.....

2. I have a strange guilty pleasure--coordinating outfits on paint. Baby outfits, little girl's outfits, outfits for my age. (and what's fun about that is actually getting those items myself!) It's so weird but I LOVE it! Whenever I'm at the mall I wander into the little girl's section while my poor mother and sister look away and pretend they don't know me LoL......

3. I've caught a 6 inch long and wide frog with my bare hands out of this pond:

I know. It's revolting. And that was last summer when I was 13....hey it's my blog I can write what I want to! LoL

4. While no cell of my being likes being truly sad or melancholy, I am addicted to sad books, movies and music. Like Les Miz you know? My brother asked me the interesting question: "Would I rather laugh or cry when watching or reading something?" And I chose the latter! Of course, pointless and unheroic deaths just make me plain old depressed, like Titanic.

5. I suck at sports and I'm proud of it. WHOO!

6. I've already planned my wedding right down to the appetizers at the reception. :oP

7. I have enormous amounts of sarcasm. However, my sarcasm-sensing meter is not anywhere near on track. It's embarrassing when someone jokes with me and is met with a monotone face as I can't tell when someone is kidding or not. LoL!

8. I make up and write life stories about each and every character I play in musicals. It really does help you get into character.

Wells...I was going to do ten but I couldn't think of any more so I guess I'm just a boring person.....LoL.....okay like, I totally NEVER say LoL! (See #7)

Something that made me mad, something that made me happy....and a birthday!

First of all, happy birthday Anna!

What made me mad:
I've been, well, wanting a few things lately. And of course, to get those things, I need money don't I? Well, my family doesn't know any people who need kids to be babysat for....so I thought I would get some advice on how to find a "job" sort of nannying, I guess you could say, or a mother's helper. So I asked on Yahoo! Answers, how I could find someone in need through something online, at the age I am (Almost 14). Some of the answers were kind and helpful. Others, however:
"As a parent i wouldn't hire you to be a nanny at your age because you don't have enough experience with kids enough to fully understand caring for little ones. It's not all playing games and fun."
Okay....when did I say it would be all fun and games? When did I say I was immature and did not understand kids? And when did I say I wanted to be a full-time, home-alone nanny? Never, is the answer to those questions. And what makes me angry is, this answer seemed so randomly written that I got the "vibe" this person just wanted to pick on someone. It's sad how that is.

Anyway! The thing that made me happy:
Last night was youth group, and instead of a testimony we had prayer requests and a small circle. I shared the story of my friend who is an atheist....and how he won't listen to anything I say about God. I asked them to help me influence him without words. And I got encouragement!
Also on Friday night, before Mulan opening night, I got a few Christian friends in a circle and we prayed, one by one, and somehow the word spread and soon we had at least 15 kids in the circle. My friend (who is the non-smiling type) came up to me, smiling, and asked me if it was me who got that together to which I answered "Yes." He responded with "Good." I felt proud that it all came together like that.

Well that's my thoughts for the day. I'll post when I have something interesting to say.....
