I am one red-hot "big sister"

Okay, let me begin by saying I adore little kids. They are just so sweet, and honest, and too darn cute :o) And when those kids I love, like the many in CTE who just make my rehearsal days, get hurt, I take the role as a "big sister" and I just get so MAD!!!

For instance, Adrianna is in the yellow (the youngest who are only 2nd-4th graders) group for the summer show. There is a new little girl name Jaiden who has already put a damper on the whole thing.

It started when she danced too fast and pushed Adrianna, who was the one doing it right. Makes me ticked enough (especially because that momentum made Ade push a boy in front of her), but then Jaiden goes off and tells another little boy that he's "bad luck" because he's Jewish. Now while I don't agree with the Jewish religion based on my own religion, it still made me mad that she would call him "bad luck" because of his (or more, his parent's) beliefs.

And now last night.....a little girl named Grace, who is one of my favorites (okay, lemme just clear the air, I don't like picking favorites but as you can SEE some kids in CTE are not so nice) suffers from juvenile diabetes. Well, Jaiden saw her insulin pump and inquired about it, and upon finding out about Grace she told her, flatly, "You're gonna die."

So, Grace being quite the sweet little girl, she has many friends who came to her defense. Jaiden kept saying, "What? She's gonna die!"

I am one angry young girl, because not only is Grace scared about her sickness as I can imagine, that girl rubbed salt in the wound. I am just so mad. That was a quick vent, everybody. I am off with Miss Ade and my Mum to look at flowers ;o)

Note to the teenagers of the world....

If--IF--you come across a girl about your age who doesn't have make-up on her face, wants to wait before dating (I mean hellooo, she's not even 14 yet!), doesn't gossip, is a CHRISTian and in a few other minor ways isn't as flirtatious as you are....do NOT think she IN ANY WAY has less mental intellectual sense (is that even a term?) then your own self! DO NOT treat her like she's 5, and YES you are doing so when you use that fake tone of voice, because that girl can't tell if you're a barbie or someone her very own age.

I'm sorry! I'm just frustrated. They DO treat me like I'm five at that theatre and I'm just sick of it. And sometimes I just need to vent. And so I have. And so now, I'm going to stop. Thanks for listening.

UGH!

I don't know what I clicked to make the task bar do that and I've tried everything possible to make it go back to the way it was. What I do know is that I can't stand it. ARGH! (Darn Tourette's!)

Immature....?

I've been well, contemplating something lately. At my theatre, CTE, that I am in, I am (and I really am, it isn't my imagination) known as "childish" and "immature". Not disliked, but looked down on. The reason? Only thing I can think of is this.....

I am NOT boy-crazy in any way. I like boys to an extent, I enjoy male actors and I call them "cute" from now on and I've had a few crushes here and there. But mostly, for now at least, I just like 'em as friends. Because I don't think a relationship between two eighth-graders will last. You're just not mature enough at that age to carry on a healthy, serious relationship. And it always ends it heartbreak. What's the use of that? Other then to be "cool", what's the purpose?
And you know what? It doesn't affect the future and I know that because Anna and Jeremy are each other's first and only partner. Period. I love you, Anna and Jeremy! :0)

Secondly, I believe another factor is the fact that I don't talk. I mean, I don't talk when an adult is trying to give us a talk or show or teach us something. I keep myself a couple steps away from the other older kids and shut my mouth. I quiet other people, but not annoyingly. I do it out of respect a little but actually a major factor is fear. I have such kind, patient parents that almost never even raise their voices slightly and I'm simply not used to adults getting angry and it scares me! Even if those adults as CTE aren't ever yelling directly at me I still feel uncomfortable and, quite frankly, scared. It's wierd but true!

So I guess I just needed to vent for awhile. But I do have happy news! First off, I am in a new musical which will give me something to think about especially because I have lines and singing to practice. And finally, after much badgering (LoL!) my Mom has finally consented to let me buy my own parakeet! Whoo! I want this kind and color:

It's funny because that green bird looks exactly like Laura's bird, Scooter. LoL! Well I sure hope my bird turns out to be a boy (You can't tell right away when you buy the bird) or else....baby birdies! LoL!

Happy Superbowl Night!

Something that made me mad, something that made me happy....and a birthday!

First of all, happy birthday Anna!

What made me mad:
I've been, well, wanting a few things lately. And of course, to get those things, I need money don't I? Well, my family doesn't know any people who need kids to be babysat for....so I thought I would get some advice on how to find a "job" sort of nannying, I guess you could say, or a mother's helper. So I asked on Yahoo! Answers, how I could find someone in need through something online, at the age I am (Almost 14). Some of the answers were kind and helpful. Others, however:
"As a parent i wouldn't hire you to be a nanny at your age because you don't have enough experience with kids enough to fully understand caring for little ones. It's not all playing games and fun."
Okay....when did I say it would be all fun and games? When did I say I was immature and did not understand kids? And when did I say I wanted to be a full-time, home-alone nanny? Never, is the answer to those questions. And what makes me angry is, this answer seemed so randomly written that I got the "vibe" this person just wanted to pick on someone. It's sad how that is.

Anyway! The thing that made me happy:
Last night was youth group, and instead of a testimony we had prayer requests and a small circle. I shared the story of my friend who is an atheist....and how he won't listen to anything I say about God. I asked them to help me influence him without words. And I got encouragement!
Also on Friday night, before Mulan opening night, I got a few Christian friends in a circle and we prayed, one by one, and somehow the word spread and soon we had at least 15 kids in the circle. My friend (who is the non-smiling type) came up to me, smiling, and asked me if it was me who got that together to which I answered "Yes." He responded with "Good." I felt proud that it all came together like that.

Well that's my thoughts for the day. I'll post when I have something interesting to say.....
