Just some random notes....

So I've just been relaxing, doing really nothing these past few days....which eggs on thinking about this and that and here is the result of that quiet pondering.

  • Tonight is the first Mega-hits of the 60's rehearsal. Well, not exactly, it's actually a meeting. It is also my friend's 16th birthday, he is in the show so I can give him a Mickey shaped lollipop tonight and ask what it feels like to finally be "free" LOL! Yay! Happy Birthday Mark :-)
  • Oh, so my Pastor's sermon was remarkable yesterday; as his sermons always are and I got quite a bit of knowledge from that one. Such as, you should aim yourself, your actions and your life in its entirety towards the Lord; and when you desire something, even if it is good, never let it overcome your desire for the Lord. Oh what valuable lessons I learn from simply going to church every Sunday and I couldn't get through the week if I didn't.
  • I made out my dying wishes :oP Which sounds silly for a 14-year-old to do, but as I've learned from the blog Hannah and Lily (see left) life can be short and can end at any time.
  • Mother's day is coming up...hmm. No money in my pocket naturally dah-ling, but I have to do something as though my Momma does things here and there that tip me off she's my Mum and the things she does for me!
  • School is nearing to an end and I am ecstatic....but melancholy as I am nearing the end of my 9-year homeschooling run. NINE YEARS! And here I will be in a completely different environment with people I don't know!! I will miss my Mom of course...but I'm happy I can finally make new friends and be with people more on a day-to-day basis.
Ah so....I know my posts have been kind of uninspiring lately....but summer is soon to come and with it, LOTS AND LOTS of new things to do and then SCHOOL! I will have a lot to talk about then, just not much time to do it in :oP

I wish you all a great week :o)

New name and layout, and other thoughts for today

As you can see, I renamed and chose a new template for my blog. I thought the name fit, since I love broadway so much (Dancing through life is a song from Wicked)!!! :o)

  • Tonight I have solo callbacks for summer show. I am excited but nervous. Wish me luck :o)
  • Today I worked on the dirt in which I plant my seeds. I tilled the soil and picked out every single weed, rock and stick. So, I only got a 3'x4' rectangle done but hey, it's a start?!
  • Spring is definitely upon us. Though the last 4 days have been chilly today was lovely and I am incredibly grateful for the end of the cold, cold Illinois winter.
  • My Trivium Co-op only has two classes last and I am so happy. I liked the classes but the end of them means summer is coming. SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Nothing much happening here, except simple life. :o)

Thinking of summer

The warm weather the other reminded me of what I could start looking forward to: Summer!

I'm going to be 14 this Saturday and in HIGH SCHOOL this fall.....!!!!! After discussing the matter my Mom and I decided to send me to school for it. Which will, no doubt, be a transition. So.

I want to remember this summer....my last summer before making that transition. I want it to be fun, carefree, but not completely work-free. Get my drift? I want to get used to working hard before dealing with all the long school hours and the homework.

Now I'm not saying I'm going to work too much this summer, but more that I want to commit to alot. I want to bike 6 miles every weekend with my Daddy, I want to plant and work on my very own garden, I want to finish at least 10 projects for 4-H. I want commitment.

So blogging this is making me excessively excited. Ooh, alliteration! :o) Just kidding!!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend and YOUR summer!

I just love this theatre TOO much

I have practice almost every night Mon-Thurs. For 2-3 hours. And you know what? Despite the fact so kids my age prefer to hang with me and I may start school (homework!) next month, I LOVE IT!

More on the kids-my-age thing. Argh. Ugh. Argh ugh. It's all for the reputation--the adults see that I don't blah blah blah all the time and it's better for me and my (hopeful) future career in the long run.

And yes, I may be entering school next month Anna and Rachel! Christian school, since Maman isn't letting me near the same types of kids like those of whom she works with. LoL! Well, just so long as I'm not unsocialized or anything....LoL!
